A huge thank you to our CHOC community for coming together on Sunday, August 20 for the return of the CHOC Walk in the Park presented by Disneyland® Resort!

For the first time since 2019, walkers came together at Disneyland® Resort this weekend to take part in an inspiring walk across both Disneyland® park and Disney California Adventure® park - all in support of CHOC. The weather didn't dampen the spirits of those involved in the beloved event, which raised over $2.2 million dollars to support health care programs, education, and research at CHOC and CHOC at Mission Hospitals.

Meet our 2023 CHOC Walk ambassador - hudson kent

Hudson was diagnosed with kidney cancer at the age of 15 months and underwent numerous surgeries and chemotherapy before the age of 3. But thanks to the lifesaving care he received at CHOC, we are now proud to say that Hudson is 12 years cancer free. Hudson has never let his cancer define him, but willingly shares his story in order to educate others or encourage them to support his local hospital. From an early age he has proudly stated, “I beat up cancer!"

We are excited to introduce Hudson as this year’s CHOC Walk Ambassador for the 2023 CHOC Walk in the Park! Hudson and his family are representing their CHOC Walk team – Team HHK, and lead this year’s CHOC Walk on Sunday, August 20 at the Disneyland® Resort!
