CHOC saved Gavin’s life. The amazing neonatology team in the Small Baby Unit as well as Surgery, Hematology, Infectious Diseases, Cardiology, pulmonology, and wound care, all played a roll in saving Gavin’s life! But the doctors, nurses, Respiratory therapists, developmental therapists, nutritional support are not the only ones who were there for us, CHOC’s wonderful system is family centered and we had support from everyone. We had child life coordinators, social workers, even the custodial staff looking out for us. We had the opportunity to meet other parents in our unit and create a community of support. CHOC became a second home to us in 2023, we come back regularly for clinic visits and to see many of our specialists. We are participating in CHOC WALK 2024 as a way to say thank CHOC for the care and support our family continues to receive.

I'm so excited to be participating in the 2024 CHOC Walk in the Park presented by Disneyland® Resort on Sunday, July 21, to raise funds for CHOC!
I can't wait to reunite with our Walk community for an early morning stroll through Disneyland® park and Disney California Adventure® park. You won't want to miss this one-of-a-kind experience filled with special entertainment and surprises before the parks open to the public.
Every dollar raised from this magical event will support health care programs, education, and research at CHOC and CHOC at Mission Hospitals. More than two million children a year depend on CHOC. And our community's generosity is what provides access to the best possible care and services.
