The 2024 CHOC Walk in the Park is more than a visit to Disneyland® Park; it's a celebration of community, unlike anything you've seen before! The Walk is an opportunity for participants to support an extraordinary organization, a chance for families to thank the doctors and nurses that cared for their children, and a time for patients to share stories with other families. 

This year, join the Disneyland® Resort Magic Key team to help raise funds for CHOC (Children’s Hospital of Orange County)!

CHOC Walk in the Park History 
Throughout the event’s 32-year history, CHOC Walk in the Park presented by Disneyland® Resort has raised more than $44 million to help support care, services, education and research for families of children undergoing medical treatment. The event also has the distinction of being the largest and most unique pediatric fundraiser in the nation.

Last year, the Disneyland® Resort Magic Key team included over 362 participants who raised more than $78,000! Let’s show what our Magic Key holders can do in 2024! 

An Exciting Walk – with Character! 
As a participant in the 2024 CHOC Walk in the Park, you will enjoy a family-friendly 5K stroll through Disneyland® Park and Disney California Adventure® Park. Along the way, you will have unique photo opportunities as some of your cherished Disney friends cheer you on at the event. 

How to Join 
Only active Disneyland® Resort Magic Key holders can register for the Disneyland® Resort Magic Key CHOC Walk Team. Each team member must raise a minimum $125, by event check-in, in order to attend the event. This total can be reached through personal payments, donations from others or a combination of both. Once registered, Disneyland® Resort Magic Key holders may add non- Disneyland® Resort Magic Key holders to the team as long as each participant meets the donation minimum. The more, the merrier! 

Can't attend the event in person? Qualified participants can still participate by registering and fundraising—and are also eligible to receive the Disneyland® Resort Magic Key CHOC Walk Team fundraising incentives. New team member registration closes at 12:00 PM Pacific Time on July 20, 2024 —or when our CHOC Walk Team reaches maximum capacity. There is no on-site registration on the day of the event. Fundraising Incentive
Members of the Magic Key team will be eligible for both the Disneyland® Resort Magic Key team and CHOC fundraising incentives. Details for Disneyland® Resort Magic Key incentives can be found below; get more details about CHOCs incentives here. 
 
Once you've joined the Disneyland® Resort Magic Key team, you are eligible to earn* the following fundraising incentives: 

• All CHOC Walk participants on the Disneyland® Resort Magic Key Team who reach the required fundraising minimum by event check-in will be eligible to receive a Magic Key button and a special Magic Key CHOC Walk belt bag.   
• The Disneyland® Resort Magic Key team member who raises the most money and is a U.S. resident of at least 18 years of age, will receive a complimentary one-night stay for the Magic Key holder and up to three (3) individuals in a Standard View – Club Level room at the Disneyland® Hotel. Approximate retail value: $953**

*Team members earn incentives based on the amount of committed funds they have recorded by the closing date of 5:00 PM Pacific Time on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 (the “Committed Funds”) and the amount of the Committed Funds collected and paid to CHOC by the collection deadline (the “Collected Funds”). All fundraising commitments must be delivered or paid to CHOC by 5:00 PM PDT on or before August 21, 2024. Cash and checks can be mailed to the CHOC Foundation office and must be postmarked no later than August 21, 2024. CHOC will use the donation information and records of Collected Funds to determine which team member has earned the Disneyland® Hotel stay. The hotel stay may not be substituted or redeemed for cash. All incentives and information are subject to restrictions and change without notice.  All Magic Key buttons and Magic Key CHOC Walk belt bags can be picked up by the eligible participants during event check in 7/19/24 –7/20/24. Any buttons and belt bags not picked up before the event can be mailed to participants for a fee or picked up at the CHOC offices post event. **A team member must be at least 18 years old and a resident of and physically located in the United States to be eligible to earn the Disneyland® Hotel stay. The eligible team member with the highest Collected Funds will earn the one-night stay. The eligible team member will be notified by letter to the address provided during online registration, and a designated Disneyland Cast Member will work with the team member to select the date for the hotel stay. The specific Standard View – Club Level room will be chosen by Disney and may not be identified in advance. If the member who earned the hotel stay does not respond to the notification of such earned incentive within the designated time frame, the incentive may be forfeited. The hotel stay is subject to availability and may not include holiday weekends. Stay must be booked and redeemed within one year of notification of earning the incentive. The stay is non-transferable. The team member must stay in the room with his/her guests. Any guest who is a minor must be accompanied by his/her parent/legal guardian who is at least 21 years of age and who will be considered one of the guests of the team member. Stay does not include transportation to the hotel, food, beverages, gratuities, room service, associated income taxes and all other expenses not explicitly stated as included. The team member is solely responsible for all taxes associated with this fundraising incentive and may receive an IRS Form 1099 reflecting the actual value of this incentive; for a non-California resident team member, the failure to provide to Disney an amount necessary to cover the applicable withholding taxes at the normal rates required by law (notwithstanding any tax treaties that may provide for lower rates of tax withholding, including exemption from withholding with the satisfaction of qualification requirements) will result in a forfeiture of the incentive.
