CHOC will always hold a special place in our hearts, having become our second home from the moment our daughter Camryn entered the world.

Camryn’s arrival was marked by immediate crisis. She came into the world in respiratory distress and suffered two pulmonary hemorrhages with three CPR events on her first day of life. The medical team immediately placed her on ECMO at CHOC, where we received the news that she had only a 5% chance of survival. In the days that followed, we learned that Camryn had a rare genetic mutation called Brain, Lung, Thyroid Syndrome, which manifested as interstitial lung disease, chorea, and hypothyroidism. Camryn spent the first 3 months of her life in the NICU at CHOC. It was a miracle when we got to take her home. She was a true miracle. 

We are forever grateful to CHOC and its entire team, who not only saved Camryn’s life that first critical day but continued to fight for her through countless challenges and admissions that followed. CHOC gave us 16 precious months with our beautiful girl—time we treasure beyond measure. Every memory we made with her is a gift we’ll cherish forever. Without this hospital, those moments wouldn’t have been possible, and we’ll never take that for granted.

We will always support CHOC, the children in their care, and the families who walk similar paths, in every way we possibly can. This hospital doesn’t just save lives—it creates precious time, cherished memories, and miracles that families like ours carry forever.
