Thank you for visiting my Team Kira page.
 
Kira was my student when she was just 18 months old, and she was the light of our world. Feisty, strong, and endlessly loving, she had a presence that filled every room. The teachers and I would often joke, "She doesn't bite, but she can smell fear."
 
On February 6, 2023, angels came to collect our most precious baby girl. Even after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer, Kira remained brave, unwavering, and continued to win the hearts of everyone she met. Her resilience somehow made everyone around her stronger. That was the magic of Kira.
 
In her honor, I will be participating in the 2025 CHOC Walk in the Park, presented by Disneyland® Resort, on Sunday, August 3.
 
Every dollar raised from this event will support health care programs, education, and research at CHOC and CHOC at Mission Hospitals. More than two million children a year depend on CHOC. And our community's generosity is what provides access to the best possible care and services.

Grief walks with us every day, but so does the warmth of her memory. We think of her always—in every quiet moment, and with every sunbeam that peeks through the clouds.
