I'm so excited to be participating in the 2025 CHOC Walk in the Park presented by Disneyland® Resort on Sunday, August 3, to raise funds for CHOC!

While Melody and I, Scarlett's mom and dad, have posted snippets here and there over the last year, our family was admitted to CHOC for a combined 7 months in 2024, where Scarlett was diagnosed with a hyper-rare Primary Immune Deficiency (she's the 7th known case in the world). In that time we met so many incredible people at CHOC: nurses, doctors, CA's, dietitians, EVS, Child Life specialists, and so many more. We are not going to be able to attend the CHOC Walk while we remain in our isolation bubble to keep Scarlett safe, but we are so thankful for the work being done at CHOC, the NIH, Duke University, and so many others who are working hard on how to best help treat Scarlett.

Every dollar raised from this magical event will support health care programs, education, and research at CHOC and CHOC at Mission Hospitals. More than two million children a year depend on CHOC. And our community's generosity is what provides access to the best possible care and services.
