Hello Team Super Kara & Friends Supporters,
I'm so excited to represent CHOC as their 2024 CHOC Walk Ambassador!!!!
(Click on the link to read my story) When I got the news, I was completely shocked and didn't know what to say. But now that the news has settled and CHOC Walk has launched, this is truly a humbling experience and I'm honored to take on this role. 

I would love for my team to grow and have as many of you walk alongside me as we take a magical stroll through the Disneyland® park and Disney California Adventure® park on Sunday, July 21 and raise funds for CHOC! I'm also turning 13 this year so it's also a great year to celebrate this milestone with me.

Every dollar raised from this magical event will support health care programs, education, and research at CHOC and CHOC at Mission Hospitals. More than two million children a year depend on CHOC. And our community's generosity is what provides access to the best possible care and services. 
 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THE WALK WEEK

• SPECIAL CHECK IN DAYS & LOCATION IN TUSTIN: Since we have a special team, my mom will be picking up all wristbands, prizes and incentives EARLY on MONDAY, July 15. So you don’t have to go to Anaheim and wait in line. You can pick up your items at our house Monday-Thursday 5pm-10pm. Tustin, CA 92782.
• *Note: in order for us to pick up your Disneyland® Resort theme park tickets, you will need to send an email to chocwalk@choc.org with your written consent.
• ***IMPORTANT - Please let us know if you prefer NOT to have us pick up your items and you want to do the normal check-in through CHOC on July 19 or 20th at the Anaheim Westin hotel.
• SIGN MAKING - We will be making signs for our walk on Monday-Thursday, July 15-18 5pm-10pm. This is also when you will pick up your wristbands, prizes and incentives from the check-in. Let us know what day you can come and we will have materials ready! Our team will provide supplies and food...maybe pho
• ATTIRE FOR THE WALK - We will be dressing up in Team Super Kara & Friends Shirts and anything hot pink (tutus, headbands, bandanas, socks, shoes, hot pink mickey ears, superhero accessories) You can order your team shirts here: https://forms.gle/cZVC14YQonHderJf7 or purchase them when you pick up your wristbands. We will also provide some accessories that can be picked up with your wristbands.

• DAY OF THE WALK
• Parking - Parking will be free for walkers. A designated parking lot/structure will be open at 4:00am and info will be released soon
• Hours - Tentative hours: 4:00am parking opens 
• Meeting Place - We will meet inside Disneyland park on Main St. - try to wiggle your way to the front where the stage is near the Walt Disney and Mickey statue. Kara will be on the stage
• Team Pictures - Team pictures will be taken at: the Opening Stage, Castle, front of Little Mermaid facing Incredicoaster, End of the Walk
• CONTACT PERSON MORNING OF WALK- Christine Edelmaier (Auntie Nini). Please contact Christine if you have any questions the morning of the walk (ie where to meet, parking, wristband missing, etc.)
• DURING THE WALK
• Kara will be speaking at the Opening Ceremony and then the walk will commence
• During the walk, there will be Disney characters and you can stop for pictures. But try to stay with the team as much as possible.

I also want to thank all of my team members and supporters past and present for always being there for me. Without you, I wouldn't be where I am now. I have created so many memories during our fundraisers and that's what encourages me to keep going every year. Seeing all of the heroes around me during the CHOC Walk inspires me. And as I go through my journey, I have to tell myself to remember that even though something may seem small, if you continue adding on to the small things, it'll eventually become something that you can never imagine.
