My Walk, My Why: Walking for Children, Walking for Change

I'm honored to be joining the 2025 CHOC Walk in the Park, presented by Disneyland Resort, on Sunday, August 3rd — a truly special morning in support of something that touches my heart deeply: the health and happiness of children.

This isn’t just a fun family outing (though we are so excited for that too!) — it’s a cause that runs deeply through our lives. My husband, Adam, has dedicated over 15,000 hours to advancing genomic science through High-Performance Computing (HPC) and AI — helping turn DNA data into personalized treatment approaches for pediatric cancer and rare diseases.

So this year, our whole family — including our daughter — is walking together to support the life-saving care, research, and hope that CHOC provides to more than two million children every year.

The CHOC Walk is more than a stroll through Disneyland and Disney California Adventure before the parks open. It’s a celebration of resilience, compassion, and possibility. Every step we take and every dollar we raise helps fund innovative treatments, education, and care for the children who need it most.
