Debra and I are so excited to be participating in the 2025 CHOC Walk in the Park presented by Disneyland® Resort on Sunday, August 3, to raise funds for CHOC!
We are two friends from Kansas City with nostalgic memories and love for Disneyland from our trips to the park as kids. More on our stories below!! We came across CHOC in our research of making our Ladies Trip from KC to OC more meaningful - and we struck gold by finding this walk that raises funds for the Children's Hospital of Orange County plus the chance for us walkers to win park tickets - win win!
Every dollar raised from this event will support health care programs, education, and research at CHOC and CHOC at Mission Hospitals. More than two million children a year depend on CHOC and the community's generosity is what provides access to the best possible care and services.

Our team's WHY for doing this:
(From Emily) - As a business owner in the services industry, vacations just mean working from a different zip code, making the expense one you regret immediately and the desire to travel again a lost cause. Author Mike Michalowicz, in his book Clockwork, addresses this exact issue for business owners (stakeholders), and invites you to believe in the possibility of taking four weeks off with your company still running as ... clockwork! So, to take baby steps, I'm going on a four-day Ladies Trip to see Mickey! With park prices on the rise, we felt it it was better to redirect the funds towards CHOC! They use every cent of the money raised for the children and their families in need - I think that's exactly what Mickey would do!! :) :) And any other Ladies reading this, if you have a need for a Ladies Trip, join our team KC to OC and let's go!!
