I'm so excited to be participating in my second CHOC Walk in the Park presented by Disneyland® Resort on Sunday, August 3rd, to raise vital funds for Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC)!

Having grown up as the younger sister of my chronically ill older sister Leah, I'm no stranger to the hospital world and am thrilled to continue my journey as an advocate for child life. Throughout my childhood, teen years, and young adult life, the hospital was my constant environment as I stood by my sister during her most difficult times.

The opportunity to give other children a second chance at life feels like the least I can do in honor of the precious moments I shared with my big sis, Leah.

This early morning stroll through Disneyland® park and Disney California Adventure® park is a one-of-a-kind experience filled with special entertainment and surprises before the parks open to the public, and I can't wait to reunite with our Walk community. Every dollar raised from this magical event directly supports crucial healthcare programs, education, and research at CHOC and CHOC at Mission Hospitals, which serve over two million children annually.

Your generosity provides access to the best possible care, not just for patients, but also for their families, including siblings like I once was, holding on during devastating times. Honoring Leah's memory by fundraising for CHOC feels like carrying on a special legacy, as she herself dedicated so much of her time and money to supporting hospitals. 

I'm also a proud member of Team Super Kara and Friends, supporting the inspiring Kara Nguyen, the 2024 CHOC Walk Ambassador.
