The 2024 CHOC Walk in the Park welcomed over 6,500 participants in 350 teams and raised over $2.3 million for children’s health and well-being and counting.

This magical morning truly showcased the power of our community coming together to make a difference. From celebrating our CHOC Walk Ambassador Kara Nguyen to walking step-by-step across both Disneyland® park and Disney California Adventure® park, every moment echoed love, connection and unwavering compassion.

With heartfelt gratitude, we thank all CHOC Walkers for your important role in helping children at CHOC on their journeys to wellness!

Meet our 2024 CHOC Walk ambassador - Kara


      When Kara was born, not all of her amniotic fluid could be expelled from her lungs, causing her to have trouble breathing. She also had a bacteria that put her at risk of developing pneumonia. She spent the first weeks of her life in the neonatal intensive care unit at CHOC, undergoing a regimen of antibiotics. But today, she is happy, healthy, and continues to give back proudly in her community by throwing events and speaking about CHOC to raise awareness.

      We are excited to introduce Kara as this year’s CHOC Walk Ambassador for the 2024 CHOC Walk in the Park! Kara and her family are representing their CHOC Walk team – Super Kara and Friends, and leading CHOC Walk on Sunday, July 21 at the Disneyland® Resort!
