Team Noel was created in honor of our son, Noel De La Rosa.

Noel was born premature at 33 weeks and spent his earliest days being cared for in the CHOC NICU. During his stay, doctors identified a potential coarctation of the aorta, and our family entered a period filled with uncertainty, constant monitoring, and countless questions. Through the expertise, coordination, and compassion of CHOC’s cardiologists, physicians, nurses, and NICU staff, Noel was able to grow, develop safely, and receive the care he needed. After a month of monitoring and treatment, we were finally able to bring our baby home.

We are endlessly grateful for the care our family received — and for the incredible community of parents and families we met along the way, all fighting for their little ones right beside us. Because of CHOC, our son is thriving, and we are walking to honor our little fighter and to support every family currently walking that same NICU hallway.

On Sunday, August 2, we’re proud to walk through Disneyland® Park and Disney California Adventure® Park as part of the CHOC Walk community — celebrating hope, resilience, and the life‑saving care CHOC provides to families like ours.

Every dollar raised supports health care programs, education, and research at Rady Children’s Health (formerly CHOC), ensuring other families receive the same level of care, compassion, and expertise that carried us through one of the most vulnerable moments of our lives.
