Cobi and I are so honored to be participating in the 2026 CHOC Walk in the Park presented by Disneyland Resort on Sunday, August 2, to raise funds for Rady Children’s Health, formerly CHOC.

This cause is deeply personal to our family.

As parents, there is nothing more profound than watching your child hurt, struggle, or need care and feeling how desperately you want to fix it, carry it, or take it on yourself. CHOC has meant so much to our family because they have been a source of care, comfort, hope, and strength not just for one of our children, but for each of them in different ways. They have cared for our kids, supported us as parents, and reminded us during vulnerable moments that we were not alone.

What CHOC does goes so far beyond medicine. They care for children with extraordinary skill, compassion, and heart, while also caring for the families who love them. That means everything to us. Supporting CHOC is incredibly important to our family because we know firsthand how much their work matters and how many families depend on them during some of the hardest moments of their lives.

That is why this year’s walk means so much to us.

We are excited to join this special community for an early morning walk through Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park before the parks open to the public. It is such a unique and joyful event, but at its heart, it is about something far bigger: showing up for children and families who need hope, healing, and world-class care.

Every dollar raised through CHOC Walk helps support critical health care programs, education, and research for children in our community. More than two million children each year depend on Rady Children’s Health, and the generosity of this community helps make that care possible.
