Hello friends!

It's time for the CHOC Walk again! Our family is participating in the CHOC Walk in the Park on August 2nd, a fundraiser for CHOC Hospital (Children’s Hospital of Orange County)—a place that has become like a second home to us. This will be our second time doing the CHOC walk, but this time we are Team Jude's Dude's :) This was only made possible last year because of YOU!

Jude, has been a patient at CHOC since birth. Over the years, he has received care from an incredible team of specialists in colorectal, rheumatology, GI, nephrology, urology, neurosurgery, and more. He’s had over nine surgeries in his first 6 years of life, and through it all, CHOC has been a pillar of compassionate, expert care, not just for him, but for our whole family.

We would be incredibly grateful for your support in helping us reach our fundraising goal. Each walker is asked to raise a minimum of $125, and any amount above that helps families like ours access more services, more hope, and more healing.

And yes, there are some fun perks, too. Depending on the amount raised, our family could qualify for a CHOC Walk day at Disneyland if we raise $400 each. Last year we were all able to spend a day at the park after the walk and let me tell you it is still something Jude talks about today.

• Just keep praying. We are constantly in awe of how many people have prayed for Jude over the years. I'm brought to tears just thinking about it. Not only the people we know personally, but the countless others we've never met, who heard about Jude through my in-laws, grandparents, or friends, and chose to carry him in prayer too. There are whole circles of people praying for our son whose names we may never know, and that truth alone humbles us more than words can say.
