To be completely honest, when I first signed up for this walk back in 2014, I was mostly just excited about the rare chance to walk through Disneyland® and before it opened. But once I got there, I experienced something far more magical than the parks themselves.

I met families whose lives were entirely transformed by the lifesaving care they received at CHOC. I’ll never forget meeting a teenager celebrating his 17th birthday—a milestone his family was once told he would never see past the age of 4. Seeing the tears of gratitude in his eyes, and hearing the stories of so many other resilient children, moved me deeply. You leave an event like this just wishing you could do more.

That is why I keep walking. Every dollar raised from this event directly supports healthcare programs, education, and research at Rady Children’s Health. More than two million children a year depend on this care, and our community's generosity is what makes it possible.
