Summer time is once again upon us and that means the sun is once again shining upon (and frying!) the Valley of the Sun. But one weekend each summer, I take the trek back to California to escape the Arizona heat and take park in an amazing fundraising event for the Children's Hospitals of Orange County. That's right... the CHOC Walk in the Park presented by Disneyland® Resort is BACK on Sunday, August 2nd!

I can't wait to reunite with our Walk community for the fourth year in a row to enjoy an early morning 5k stroll (about 3 miles for those non-marathon folks) through Disneyland® park and Disney California Adventure® park. This is a one-of-a-kind experience filled with special entertainment and surprises before the parks open to the public for a great cause! And for those who know me well... waking up before dawn, much less for a 5k that starts gathering at 4am is generally unheard of. That is how meaningful the work that CHOC does is to me. 

Every dollar raised from this magical event will support health care programs (of which CHOC has a ton!), education, and research at CHOC and CHOC at Mission Hospitals. More than two million (yes... 2 million!!) children a year depend on CHOC. And our community's generosity is what provides access to the best possible care and services.

The past three years, you have helped me to raise over two thousand dollars for the programs supporting the kids at CHOC. You are all AMAZING for taking the time and energy to care about those kids and donate to help support me walk in support of them. That's something we should all be proud of as we are all in this together!
