Eleanor’s Ohana

In 2024, Sean and I welcomed a beautiful baby girl 24 weeks into my pregnancy (a whole 4 months early). Eleanor came into this world at 1 lb 6 oz and what she lacked in weight, our family made up with plenty of love. On April 15, 2025 we finally got to bring Eleanor home after a 132 day stay in the NICU (more specifically the Small Baby Unit at CHOC). There really aren’t any words that can convey all of the emotions we felt during E’s hospitalization. Fear, anxiety, pride, joy, sometimes all at the same time. No one has shown us the true meaning of strength and resiliency quite like Eleanor has, and I don’t think any one else has looked so cute doing it. Without the outstanding care and knowledge of E’s medical team at CHOC, she truly wouldn’t be alive and thriving today.

We're so excited to be participating in the 2026 CHOC Walk in the Park presented by Disneyland® Resort on Sunday, August 2, to raise funds for Rady Children’s Health, formerly CHOC!

Every dollar raised from this magical event will support health care programs, education, and research at Rady Children’s Health, formerly CHOC. More than two million children a year depend on Rady's. And our community's generosity is what provides access to the best possible care and services.
