For the third year, our family is honored to participate in the CHOC Walk in the Park as Rhylee’s Chiari Crew.

In 2022, our daughter, Rhylee, was diagnosed with a severe Chiari malformation and cervical syrinx after experiencing persistent headaches. Thanks to the incredible neurosurgery team at CHOC, she underwent successful surgery that relieved her headaches and gave her the opportunity to simply be a kid again.

Today, because of their exceptional care, Rhylee is the happy, energetic, silly 7-year-old we know and love. We know that not every family’s journey is the same, which is one of the many reasons this walk means so much to us. We walk to celebrate how far Rhylee has come, to honor the children and families still facing incredibly difficult battles, and to help ensure CHOC can continue providing extraordinary care for every child who walks through its doors.

Every dollar raised helps support patient care, research, education, and programs that benefit children and families throughout our community.
