For the second year, my son Weston and I will be participating in the CHOC Walk in honor of sweet Camryn Pollard.

Camryn was the daughter of one of my closest friends, Katie. Camryn was born with a rare genetic mutation called Brain, Lung, Thyroid Syndrome, which manifested as interstitial lung disease, chorea, and hypothyroidism. Despite facing challenges from the very beginning, Camryn spent her 16 months of life bringing joy, love, and light to everyone around her.

Throughout Camryn's journey, CHOC became an important part of her family's story. The care, support, and expertise they provided gave Camryn and her family more time together than anyone thought possible, and those moments are something her family will cherish forever.

On August 2, Weston and I will once again walk alongside Camryn's Crew to honor her memory and support the incredible work CHOC does for children and families facing the unimaginable.
