Team Immune to Giving Up!
Alyson Tong
We are so excited to be walking again in the CHOC Walk in the Park on Sunday, August 2, supporting Rady Children’s Health!
This walk means so much to us. Our Emma lives with specific antibody deficiency, a rare primary immunodeficiency (PID) that affects only a small portion of the population. It brings frequent illness, Raynaud’s, rashes, joint pain and swelling, dental complications, countless specialist visits, missed school and work—and long 8-hour IVIG treatment days at CHOC every month.
IVIG isn’t just a medication—it’s made from thousands of donated plasma contributions, carefully screened and processed to create just one dose. Each infusion can cost thousands of dollars, and Emma depends on it to help her body fight infections and stay healthy.
CHOC has been a constant source of care and support through it all, and were incredibly grateful.
Every dollar raised helps kids like Emma get the care they need. If you’re able, please consider donating or joining us for this special morning through Disneyland and California Adventure before the parks open—it’s truly unforgettable.
Thank you for supporting my girl and so many others 💛
With gratitude,
Alyson
