What a lot of people don't know about me, is that I am a "CHOC Baby". When I was born in 1980, I was emergency transported from Loma Linda to Choc. I was premature and weighed only 2 pounds 3 ounces. I was tiny and not fully developed. Somehow through the hard work of the doctors and nurses at that time, I am now a fully developed 45 year old adult with an amazing wife and 2 amazing kids. I would not be here if not for CHOC working hard for the 6 months I was in an incubator, just to keep me alive. 

I wish I could've had the same outcome for my mother, who passed away just a few months after I was born, due to heart complications that arose from giving birth to me. But I walk in honor of her strength to bring me into this world and for the doctors and nurses who worked so hard to keep me here afterwards. I also walk for all the children and babies saved every day by the heroes working at CHOC. And I walk for those that fought and were unable to prevail and still be here with us today. I walk for my LDF and everyone else who has a story tied to this hospital.

I'll be walking with my son and the LDF family. We cannot wait to be a part of this and continue to raise money for an amazing hospital full of heroes. 

I'm so excited to be participating in the 2026 CHOC Walk in the Park presented by Disneyland® Resort on Sunday, August 2, to raise funds for Rady Children’s Health, formerly CHOC!

I can't wait to reunite with our Walk community for an early morning stroll through Disneyland® park and Disney California Adventure® park. You won't want to miss this one-of-a-kind experience filled with special entertainment and surprises before the parks open to the public.

Every dollar raised from this magical event will support health care programs, education, and research at Rady Children’s Health, formerly CHOC. More than two million children a year depend on Rady's. And our community's generosity is what provides access to the best possible care and services.
