I'm so excited to be participating in the 2026 CHOC Walk in the Park presented by Disneyland® Resort on Sunday, August 2, to raise funds for Rady Children’s Health, formerly CHOC! I will be walking with Team Super Desmond.

Many of you have helped me raise funds for other great causes in the past, I surely hope you will help me once more. 

I recently had the pleasure and the honor of meeting a very sweet young man-Desmond. Desmond is ten years old. As a result of a traumatic birth, he was immediately rushed to CHOC to receive specialized treatments only available there. He spent 53 days at CHOC before he was one year old, going from the NICU to the CVICU, to the PICU to the Neurology Unit. He spent hundreds of hours in their Rehab Department for outpatient Physical and Feeding Therapy, along with countless other doctor visits at their Clinic to see one of many specialists who follow him for his various medical conditions. The doctors, nurses, therapists and staff at CHOC have done so much for Des and his family the past 10 years. His main diagnosis is Cerebral Palsy caused by his traumatic birth. I will be walking with his family team- Team Super Desmond. I will walk in his honor.

Every dollar raised from this magical event will support health care programs, education, and research at Rady Children’s Health, formerly CHOC. More than two million children a year depend on CHOC. And our community's generosity is what provides access to the best possible care and services.
