Hello Friends -
I'm so excited to join the 2026 CHOC Walk on Sunday, August 2, 2026 to raise funds for Rady Children’s Health, formerly CHOC!

I joined the CHOC family in 2024 in the Emergency Department, which is also a Tier 1 Trauma center for pediatrics.  I'm sure I don't need to tell you the details of the kiddos I see on a daily basis that are Critical, Emergent, Life threatening & for some....almost too much to handle. I have witnessed parents' worst-case scenarios, and I have also witnessed a lot of miracles. Our staff of Nurses, EMT's, RT's & support staff in this department are like no other. STRONG, TALENTED, CALM, & AMAZING UNDER PRESSURE- are just a few words I choose to describe them. They ALL should be wearing red capes like super heros!  Our Doctors and PAs are INCREDIBLE and never know what their next case will be, or when they will rapidly receive an incoming trauma...but they are always ready. 
My days in the ED consist of monitoring the kiddos vitals--O2 sats, heartrates, BPs- paging specialty Dr's for consults with my ED Doctors, answering calls from concerned parents, and Paging out Critical Codes.  Never a dull moment.  This Pediatric Emergency Department is 100% a hard place to spend a 12-hour shift.  Why do we all do it?  We do it for the kiddos.  We do it for their future.

Many of us have been incredibly blessed with healthy kiddos in our lives. Children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, neighbors ...and at the same time we remember that not everyone can say that. So we reach out and support those kiddos and families who are not as blessed. We help ease their pain and try to make life a little more bearable for them. We pray for them and hope that these children's futures and dreams will become a reality. You can help them by supporting me on this walk.  Every dollar raised will support health care programs, education, and research for our kiddos.  More than two million children a year depend on CHOC.  Because of this, I am asking you to PLEASE sponsor me.
