In February 2024 my nephew, Joshua, was born 6 weeks early & spent his first 16 days of life in NICU-19 at CHOC hospital. The wonderful NICU nurses and doctors cared for him, giving my sister and brother-in-law a sense of security knowing their baby was in good hands.
Upon coming home Joshua faced multiple health problems but has defied odds and overcome so much. He continues to be a cardiology patient at CHOC & Lord willing will get full clearance at his next appointment in 2027. Joshy has crushed every milestone and apparently never got the memo that he was a preemie! He is a growing, thriving, joyful, energetic little boy, with a hilarious sense of humor & a flirtatious smirk that could melt any heart.
His name "Joshua" means: The Lord saves. And we can testify that God has indeed taken that tiny, weak, under-developed infant and grown him into a strong, smart, healthy toddler.
