As you all know, my SAM is the reason we walk for CHOC:) She is nothing short of a miracle and continues to surprise every nurse, surgeon and physician that works with her!  She has persevered through so many obstacles and her resilience is inspiring. She lives her daily life outside of the hospital but in all honesty, we are running an ICU at home for her so she can thrive and live her best moments.  Some days the exhaustion, worry, and responsibilities on our shoulders can be too much to bare, but then we hear her sassy jokes, see her dance spontaneously, and feel her deep LOVE of experiences and we are reminded that every moment is worth it. She never gives up and reminds us everyday that HOPE is real. Our girl would not be alive right now without the support of so many people at CHOC and this is our chance to give back!
