Hello Family and Friends!

As many of you know, our children, Kate and Luke were born on December 29, 2021. A few days after birth, our daughter Kate was diagnosed with a very rare metabolic disease. She was transferred from her birth hospital to CHOC and underwent life saving surgery and hemodialysis. From the minute Kate arrived at CHOC we could tell that she was in fantastic hands. Over the next month we met numerous doctors and nurses from a variety of specialties. Through their diligent care, Kate recovered from her medical crisis and was discharged from CHOC after a month in the NICU.
Our family is forever grateful for the superior care and dedication given to Kate's recovery and ongoing management of her rare metabolic disease. We visit CHOC's clinic regularly for check ups and continue to feel supported as we navigate Kate's lifelong medical needs.
We have personally been impacted by CHOC and hope to help give back to support CHOC for all that it has done for our family. Please help us meet our fundraising goal to support CHOC and future families in need. We never expected to be a CHOC family, but we are forever grateful for the top notch medical care that Kate received. We are looking forward to participating in CHOC Walk's 30th anniversary event - CHOC Adventure in the Park. We are excited to debut a CHOC Walk team, Kate the Great, this year and for many years to come.
