Welcome to my CHOC Walk page for our Super Girl, Viviana!

I am so excited to be participating in CHOC Walk's 30th anniversary event - CHOC Adventure in the Park presented by the Disneyland® Resort to raise funds for CHOC!
Last December our world was flipped upside down. Our 3-year-old daughter, Viviana had emergency surgery for hydrocephalus and to remove a brain tumor. Dr. Magge at CHOC performed a full resection of the tumor and Viviana has been on the road to recovery since. It has been a long 7 months, but she is making strides every day! She learned how to walk and talk again. Last month, she had Strabismus surgery on both eyes, because of the tumor. The surgery on her eyes has made a significant difference on her recovery. Before the eye surgery, Viviana saw double and had zero depth perception. Now, her vision is great! She continues to attend physical and occupational therapy 3 times a week. She really enjoys going to her therapies. She is an amazing little girl, and she would not be here today without her team of doctors and nurses at CHOC. We are participating in the CHOC walk this year, not only because it is an amazing cause to support but because it is so near and dear to our hearts. Viviana receives an MRI every 3 months to see if the tumor is growing back. She is closely monitored by her team of doctors at CHOC and will be for her entire childhood. We spent 8 days in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at CHOC and then a few more days in the neurological floor and the staff, doctors and nurses were so good to us and took the best care of our baby girl. Any funds raised will support families during dark and difficult times just like us. Thank you for taking the time to read this and considering supporting our cause!
Please help me exceed my fundraising goal for the benefit of the children and families of Southern California by:
-Donating now by clicking the "Donate" button above or
-Joining me at this year's event - SAVE THE DATE - Saturday, August 27, 2022 – for the CHOC Adventure in the Park presented by the Disneyland® Resort.
Every dollar counts for kids!
Many Thanks,
Kaylan
