I am so excited to be participating in CHOC Walk's 30th anniversary event - CHOC Adventure in the Park presented by the Disneyland(R) Resort to raise funds for CHOC! CHOC has a special significance to our family. Our Mighty Matthew was diagnosed with a genetic disorder called neurofibromatosis (NF1) when he was an infant. It is an incurable condition that can cause tumors to grow on the end of nerve tissue. Every 10-12 months, Matthew gets an MRI to make sure there are no growths forming. He also has the opportunity to meet with a team of great clinicians from the CHOC team including oncologists, geneticists, endocrinologists, and other various ‘ologists. We are happy to report that by the grace of God, Matthew has had a clean bill of health for over 11 wonderful years. We would love for you to join us and the CHOC team to help kiddos like Matthew, especially those less fortunate, get the care they need.
