I'm so excited to be participating in the 2023 CHOC Walk in the Park presented by Disneyland® Resort on Sunday, August 20, to raise funds for CHOC.
Amelia the Great is my Niece! She's 3 years old and one of the strongest Toddlers I know. Amelia was born with Short Gut Syndrome. Her diagnosis was seen while in utero 3m into the pregnancy. When she had her first surgery at only 1 day old, we found out exactly how tough her life would be.
Amelia spent months at CHOC when she was born, than as the years passed it has been hospital admission after hospital admission. She has spent holidays away from family and her more serious hospital stays have had us all hoping and praying she will be home sooner than later.
Amelia is so resilient, smart and so so funny. She is so well spoken that we can laugh at her proper usage of jokes and silly sayings. She knows how to call and video chat when she misses me and needs extra laughs.
CHOC has given so much to Amelia in so many ways and making her stay a positive experience, so positive she will say it's time to go to CHOC to feel better because she has had tough tummy days.
Please help us raise funds so they can keep helping Amelia feel better. She has a life long road at CHOC and a donation big or small will help other children like Amelia.
