Five years ago; on July 22, 2014, we handed our 12 week old Nilu to the nurses and doctors of the CHOC Neurosurgery team to operate on her skull. We chose the amazing team at CHOC because they offered a less invasive option that the hospital closer to us did not. Our entire family was handled with such care, kindness, knowledge, and patience from consult to post op, that I will forever be in their debt. So here we are, so excited to be participating in the 2019 CHOC Walk in the Park at the Disneyland Resort on August 11th to raise funds for CHOC Children's Hospital! This is our THIRD year walking, we've raised almost $9000 and will never stop being grateful for this amazing facility and all the guardian angels who work there. Diagnosing, operating, and healing from Nilu's Craniosynostosis was the most difficult time of my life but looking back I can see so clearly how hard this hospital worked to help us get through it.
