I am so excited to be participating in my 2nd CHOC Walk in the Park at the Disneyland Resort! On August 11th thousands will walk to raise funds for CHOC Children's Hospital.
The CHOC Walk has a special significance to our family. Our Mighty Matthew was diagnosed with a genetic disorder called neurofibromatosis when he was an infant. It is an incurable condition that can cause tumors to grow on the end of nerve tissue. Every 10-12 months, Matthew gets an MRI to make sure there are no growths forming. He also has the opportunity to meet with a team of great clinicians from the CHOC team including oncologists, geneticists, endocrinologists, and other various ‘ologists. We are happy to report that by the grace of God, Matthew has had a clean bill of health for over 8 wonderful years. We would love for you to join us and the CHOC team to help kiddos like Matthew, especially those less fortunate, get the care they need.
The fundraising efforts of the CHOC Walk make an immediate impact on families going through the most challenging time in their lives. CHOC provides the highest level of care not only to patients, but to the siblings, parents, and extended family that make up their critical support teams.
Please help me exceed my fundraising goal for the benefit of the children and families of Southern California by:

Every dollar counts for kids!
Many Thanks,
Karen
