Thanks for visiting my CHOC Walk page! Five years ago, Jackson and I joined a Mommy & Me group when he was only 6weeks old. It was there that we met Nilu and her family, and over the years we've watched the kids' friendship grow. But back during our Mommy & Me class, at barely 3months of age, Nilu required a significant surgery, and this is why we're walking to support CHOC Children's Hospital. They were able to provide the least invasive state of the art options for her, and made sure Jackson's new friend had the best possibilities ahead. Jackson is now old enough to understand "giving back," and his love for all things medical (especially the gloves!) makes this a great time to start teaching him to get involved. The fundraising efforts of the CHOC Walk make an immediate impact on families going through the most challenging time in their lives. CHOC provides the highest level of care not only to patients, but to the siblings, parents, and extended family that make up their critical support teams.
