It's been almost 7 years now since Ruby's diagnosis and treatment at CHOC for neuroblastoma. Thankfully she is now a healthy, happy, and joy-filled 9 year old. Because of everything CHOC did for her and our family, I joined the CHOC marketing team. It has been such a wonderful experience to be able to support and work for an organization that does so much for our community. Many people think that hospitals are rolling in money, and while that may be true for some, most pediatric hospitals, including CHOC, rely on philanthropic giving to provide the care necessary to everyone in the community, regardless of ability to pay. CHOC provides over $50 million dollars in uncompensated care a year, and countless more hours in serving the community. Any donation is appreciated in helping kids like Ruby stay healthy and live their childhood to its fullest!
