Hey Friend!

This year on August 13 I will be celebrating nine years of a happy healthy heart. 14 years ago, I was on Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland with my dad when suddenly I felt like I was having a heart attack. My dad rushed me over to CHOC and at the age of 13 I was diagnosed with a rare form of atrial tachycardia. When they had only seen this condition in older adults. This began my long five your journey of having a healthy functioning heart. Over the course of five years I had multiple heart surgeries, hospital stays, and doctor visits. I am super passionate about raising money for CHOC because in my time there the nurses and doctors always assured me multiple times that everything was going to be okay. Yet, at the end of my journey my doctor said he went home at night worrying I wouldn’t wake up in the morning. I’m so blessed to be alive. I truly have to thank CHOC for saving my life. This year they are celebrating 30 years of this wonderful fundraising at Disneyland Resort.
